Over to France

Bonjour and thank you for stopping by. My name is Renie and this is the story of my first trip (avec mon mari) to France. We flew into Paris and then journeyed south-eastward by car, through so many beautiful villages, to arrive in Nice. It was four weeks of amazingness. We were totally smitten and our lives have been forever changed! If you would like to have a peek at what we experienced, then please read on….. And if you would like to venture further with us, as we work out our future Over to France adventures, then please read on a bit further still…

Four More Days

It’s Been a Long Time Coming…

Hello dear family and friends

Thank you for stopping by to have a wee squizzy at this, my first-ever Blog (and a huge thank you to the wonderful Rachel C for her patience and perseverance in helping me set it up!).

This trip to France has been on the cards for a very long time and was actually meant to happen three years ago, to celebrate thirty years of marriage to my darling Clivey (and also a particular birthday for me). Covid put a delay on everything, but that’s ok ’cause it’s given us a whole lot more time to plan AND it also means that now we will get to meet up with our dear friends Keith and Margaret, and Mike and Durelle in Nice for the last week of our trip.

Today is Monday, and we leave this Friday. It’s starting to feel a bit more real now.

France, here we come!

    1. Hi Auntie Marlene. It’s a bit rainy in Paris today, but apparently they are having loads of rain in Auckland, so I think we’ve got the best end of the deal! We are about to venture out to Mount Martre today. Sending you lots of love. Renie xx

    1. Oh yay, you found us! I’m just totally in love with all these villages Maggie. And having never been to Europe before, the cathedrals and palaces are incredible to me (Clive’s seen quite a few before, having lived in the UK for a bit, but he still loves them to). Yes, driving here takes quite a bit of concentration – even for a passenger!! Thinking of you and G. xx

    1. Hi Sue. Yes, it certainly has been a dream for so long. Remember that AMAZING Eiffel tower cake you made for my leaving morning tea? It was such a work of art, you clever lady. I am totally in love with France so far, and absolutely smitten with the gorgeous little villages. I’ve found the one I want to live in today, so will arrange for you, Heather and Rache to visit soon. I just have a little bit of work to do on the convincing-Clive department. xxx
