Over to France

Bonjour and thank you for stopping by. My name is Renie and this is the story of my first trip (avec mon mari) to France. We flew into Paris and then journeyed south-eastward by car, through so many beautiful villages, to arrive in Nice. It was four weeks of amazingness. We were totally smitten and our lives have been forever changed! If you would like to have a peek at what we experienced, then please read on….. And if you would like to venture further with us, as we work out our future Over to France adventures, then please read on a bit further still…

Almost Avignon (La Begude de Rochefort)

Markets anywhere in the world are wonderful

On the Way to Valence (via Switzerland…)

… which wasn’t entirely planned. Ooops! The thing is, our rental car is only insured whilst driving within France. So what we had planned, albeit rather last minute, was to make the two hour drive eastwards towards Geneva, park somewhere close to the border and then see if we could ‘pop over’ on foot and

    Lyon L’Ancien et Le Nouveau

It stirred me up a bit, our return visit to Lyon today. And I become quite sombre on the drive back to our accommodation in Meximieux as I tried to process it all. How much to blab on about it here, I’m not sure. It was to do with the contrasts in life – the
