Over to France

Bonjour and thank you for stopping by. My name is Renie and this is the story of my first trip (avec mon mari) to France. We flew into Paris and then journeyed south-eastward by car, through so many beautiful villages, to arrive in Nice. It was four weeks of amazingness. We were totally smitten and our lives have been forever changed! If you would like to have a peek at what we experienced, then please read on….. And if you would like to venture further with us, as we work out our future Over to France adventures, then please read on a bit further still…

    Julia Child of Quimper

I am staying in Quimper with my very own version of Julia Child.  C’est vrai.  Julia Child sans beurre – without butter, or at least butter in moderation.  If you know me, you’ll probably know that I have a thing for Julia Child. I grew up watching her on television and the movie Julie and

    London to Quimper, France

Ok, so I’ve heard people talk about transport delays and cancellations during their travels.  I guess I’d understood that these things were an inconvenience, but surely you just go to a “desk” and someone behind that desk helps you sort things out.  Right? Squirrels, Selfridges & Foxes, Oh My!

Squirrels are real!  I was beginning to wonder.  If one could have a soul animal, I think a squirrel would be mine – very easily distracted, yet at the same time extremely cute and surprisingly intelligent.  Cough.  I’d heard that squirrels were to be seen all over the place in England, running across people’s fences

    The Town of Warwick

Clive’s cousin Steven and his wife Sally-Jane live in Warwick, England.  Warwick is only a twenty-minute drive from where we are staying in Coventry, so earlier this week we went to visit them.  Warwick is a gorgeous English town, probably my favourite so far.  We met up with Steven and Sally-Jane in a pub for
