Over to France

Bonjour and thank you for stopping by. My name is Renie and this is the story of my first trip (avec mon mari) to France. We flew into Paris and then journeyed south-eastward by car, through so many beautiful villages, to arrive in Nice. It was four weeks of amazingness. We were totally smitten and our lives have been forever changed! If you would like to have a peek at what we experienced, then please read on….. And if you would like to venture further with us, as we work out our future Over to France adventures, then please read on a bit further still…

    Wobbly Bits and Beyond

Tues 13 June 2023 Walking gives me space to think.  And to dream.  And of course, it helps to burn off all those extra calories I consumed over our time away.  Clive has managed to come back fitting his clothes a bit more easily.  I, on the other hand, have not.  I imagine it has

Getting Over France – The First Week Back

    The Jewel that is Villefranche-sur-Mer

Bonjour. I’m going to try not to write too much today. My heart is a bit heavy anyway – it’s our last day here in Villefranche-sur-Mer. It’s our last full day here in France. Tonight we will pack and organise ourselves for the trip home. But that’s a few hours away yet. And here I

  • Menton and Monaco

    Menton and Monaco

I don’t know how Clive is going to fit this into his carry-on. But first, our visit to the town of Menton. Menton, population 28,231, is the last community of the French Riviera before the Italian border. We caught the train there this morning, and walked through some of its old streets. Along the way
