Over to France

Bonjour and thank you for stopping by. My name is Renie and this is the story of my first trip (avec mon mari) to France. We flew into Paris and then journeyed south-eastward by car, through so many beautiful villages, to arrive in Nice. It was four weeks of amazingness. We were totally smitten and our lives have been forever changed! If you would like to have a peek at what we experienced, then please read on….. And if you would like to venture further with us, as we work out our future Over to France adventures, then please read on a bit further still…

So Close….

Well, our leaving day finally arrived – Friday 5 May.

After a flurry of last minutes things to do, we were dropped off to Auckland Airport by Josh and had a really good flight to LA Airport. The stop in Los Angeles was only meant to be around four hours, then another eleven hours to Munich and then an hour and a quarter flight to Paris. However…. after three hours on the tarmac in LA, our flight to Munich was cancelled due to engine troubles. But Lufthansa has paid to put everyone up in a lovely hotel and given us a free dinner (finally got that at 12:30am) and also breakfast tomorrow morning. They are supposedly booking new flights for us, however no word on that yet. It will mean that we miss out on our first day in Paris, but that’s just how it goes.

One response to “So Close….”
